FORMAT
The main conference takes place on Friday and Saturday and is delivered in a hybrid format, with attendees joining us in person in Melbourne and online.
ATTENDEES
The conference will bring together EMDR practitioners, consultants and trainers,
researchers, mental health professionals, students and those with an emerging interest in EMDR therapy.
We anticipate between 650 - 700 delegates, with approximately 450 people attending the conference in person.
Terms and Conditions
Bookings & Payment
All sponsorship and exhibition bookings must be made online via the Sponsor and Exhibitor Booking Portal. Bookings are subject to availability and EMDRAATM approval, with opportunities allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email and tax invoice with payment details. Submission of a booking does not constitute acceptance by EMDRAATM.
Payment is required within 14 days of the invoice issue date and can be made by credit card or electronic funds transfer.
Currency and GST
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and include GST.
Booking Conditions
Acceptance of sponsorship and exhibition applications are subject to EMDRAATM approval. EMDRAATM reserves the right to decline applications based on any association, direct or indirect, that does not uphold the objectives of the conference.
Cancellation Policy
In the case of the cancellation of sponsorship, unless all sponsorship
is resold EMDRAATM will reserve the right to retain monies received.
In the case of the cancellation of an exhibition space, unless EMDRAATM can resell the exhibition space, EMDRAATM will reserve the right to retain monies received.
If full payment for a sponsorship or exhibition booking is not received by the due date shown on the invoice, EMDRAATM reserves the right to cancel the booking and release the sponsorship or exhibition opportunity.
Confidentiality
Neither party may disclose any confidential information of the other party without obtaining the prior written consent of the other party.
Conflict of Interest
The Exhibitor/Sponsor shall not engage in any activities or have interests that directly or indirectly conflict with the business operations of EMDRAATM, its mission, products and services, or its public reputation.
EMDRAATM reserves the right to terminate bookings with immediate effect if the Exhibitor/Sponsor is found to be in violation of this clause.
Data Privacy
Both parties agree to comply with all applicable data privacy laws and regulations in collecting, using, and sharing any personal data obtained through the Event.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement due to causes beyond its reasonable
control, including acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, or war.
Obligations
The Exhibitor/Sponsor must exercise the rights and pursue the opportunities granted under these terms and conditions in a manner consistent with the good name, goodwill, reputation and image of the Organiser and the Event.
The Exhibitor/Sponsor must comply with any brand guidelines or
other reasonable directions provided by the Organiser when using the Organiser’s Intellectual Property.
Sponsors and Exhibitors must also comply with all venue and workplace
safety obligations as required by the Event organiser and venue.
Insurance
Sponsors and Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance for their participation in the Event, including public liability insurance and any other insurance reasonably required by EMDRAATM
or the venue.
Evidence of current insurance may be requested by EMDRAATM or the venue prior to the Event.
Liability and Indemnity
Sponsors and Exhibitors participate in the Event at their own risk and are responsible for their own property, equipment, materials, products and activities.
To the extent permitted by law, EMDRAATM will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense incurred by a Sponsor or Exhibitor in connection with their participation in the Event, except to the extent caused by EMDRAATM’s negligence or as otherwise required bylaw.
Sponsors and Exhibitors are responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by their acts or omissions, or those of their employees, contractors or representatives, and indemnify EMDRAATM against claims arising from those acts or omissions.
Termination
EMDRAATM fully reserves its rights to immediately cancel, refuse and withdraw the Exhibitor/Sponsor from the Event and any rights it may have under these terms and conditions, without notice, where the Sponsor/Exhibitor is in breach of these terms and conditions in which event the Exhibitor/Sponsor will immediately withdraw from publication, display, broadcast, advertisement, exhibition or otherwise any Exhibitor/Sponsor owned content in relation to the Event.
Changes to the Event, Postponement or Cancellation of the Event
EMDRAATM reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Event at its sole discretion where necessary, including changes to the program, venue, dates, delivery format or other Event arrangements.
Where circumstances require the Event to move from an in-person or hybrid format to an entirely online format, EMDRAATM will use reasonable endeavours to provide Sponsors and Exhibitors with alternative benefits of comparable value, where practicable.
If the Event is postponed, sponsorship and exhibition bookings will be transferred to the rescheduled Event. If the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, EMDRAATM will determine an appropriate refund or credit having regard to benefits already provided and costs reasonably incurred in connection with the booking.
EMDRAATM will not be liable for consequential losses or costs incurred by Sponsors or Exhibitors because of a change, postponement or cancellation of the Event, including travel, accommodation, freight or staffing costs.
Package Inclusions
Sponsorship and exhibition packages include the benefits specified in the Sponsorship and Exhibition Prospectus or as otherwise confirmed in writing by EMDRAATM.
All other costs associated with a Sponsor or Exhibitor’s participation are the responsibility of the Sponsor or Exhibitor.
No Endorsement
Acceptance of a sponsorship or exhibition booking, or the display of a Sponsor or Exhibitor’s name, logo, products or services in connection with the Event, does not constitute endorsement or recommendation by
EMDRAATM of that organisation or its products, services, claims or views.
Sponsors and Exhibitors are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of their promotional materials, representations, products and services.
